Sponsor a project

  • Outside enclosures for animals to recuperate in while at our facility are a high priority on our needs list.
  • We need to acquire more land and build an educational building to have programs on site, a gift shop and display area.
  • Ambassador Row is a future set of enclosures to house our educational animals and allow visitors to learn about these species, learn what happened to each specific animal and meet them up close.

Please call us to inquire further about these projects and their sponsorship.

Volunteer

Wild for Life needs volunteers!

Activities we really need help with are:

  • cage building (we need enclosures to house animals during their stay with us)
  • fundraising (we exist on funds we generate on our own)
  • general maintenance (there is always something that needs to be done)
  • landscaping (do you have a green thumb?)
  • office assistance and more!

We request you are current on your Tetanus vaccination.

If you wish to work with animals there are several things you should know before you contact us to volunteer:

  • We would encourage you to receive rabies preventative vaccinations.
  • Rehabilitation animals are not to cuddle and talk to. These are wild animals and are treated with respect and dignity. If you want animals to cuddle and snuggle, we suggest the Humane Society or Animal Compassion Network. We want our rehabilitation animals to remain as wild as possible and we limit human contact to a minimum. This is in the best interest of the animals in our care.
  • Volunteers do not start out feeding and caring for animals. Volunteers that wish to have animal contact begin with cage cleaning and dish washing. We want to know you are committed to our cause.
  • With time you may progress to caring for animals. Patience is mandatory!
